Never dilute colloidal silver with anything other than ultra-pure steam distilled water. Never use tap water, mineral water, filtered water, ionised water or other, as this could produce a chemical reaction and potential toxic solution.
Never dilute colloidal silver with saline solution (Sodium Chloride /NaCl) or mix with any other form of salts, as this will produce an adverse chemical reaction and result in a toxic solution.
Please note, due to changes in European Union legislation 2002/46/EC, Colloidal Silver is not classified as, nor can be described as a ‘dietary supplement’. Under EU regulation, Colloidal Silver is authorised for sale under the classification ‘cosmetic product’.

We understand people have personal preference for stronger or weaker concentrations of colloidal silver. Therefore, to cater for individual needs, EMIAS Therapeutics produce premium quality, medical grade Colloidal Silver in concentrations of:
- 10 PPM
- 15 PPM
- 20PPM
Typical uses and applications for each concentration are*:
- 10 PPM – Nebulisers and nasal sprays
- 15 PPM – Ingestion (see note in ‘Know before you use’ section above)
- 20PPM – Topical application
To stay within health and safety guidelines, we do not advise using concentrations of colloidal silver higher than 20 PPM.
Due to the composition of colloidal silver, diluting with anything other than ultra-pure steam distilled water could result in an adverse, and potentially toxic chemical reaction (for instance using tap water, mineral water or filtered water as a diluting solution).
Although many colloidal silver producers sell ‘high strength’ solutions (40PPM and higher) and advertise that it can be diluted to ‘get more’ , for your health and safety we advise to only buy original high quality colloidal silver in the strength required for the treatment and never dilute.
As a general guidline, the most typical colloidal silver concentration used by millions of people around the world to successfully treat most common conditions is 15 PPM.
As with any conventional medicine or natural therapies, we always advise to do your own research before using any product, so you are informed about your condition and best way to treat it.

The use of TDS Meters (Total dissolvable Solids) for testing colloidal silver products:
In the interest of product safety and consumer expectation, conventional TDS meters are neither suitable for, nor designed for testing and measuring the PPM (parts per million) silver content of any colloidal silver product. Colloidal silver has been used to successfully treat a variety of common eye conditions due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities.
Typical usage:
- For common eye conditions and irritations, tilt the head so the eyes are looking directly upward and apply 1-2 drops of EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver to the affected eye using a dropper applicator. Close eyelid and leave for at least 60 seconds whilst slowly rotating the eye in all directions. Repeat procedure to a maximum of 3 times a day.
- For more advanced infections or to help flush foreign objects, apply 6 drops of EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver diluted with lukewarm distilled water using an eye bath applicator and rinse the eye for at least 60 seconds. Repeat procedure to a maximum of 3 times a day.
Colloidal silver has been used to successfully treat common ear conditions due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities.
Typical usage:
- Tilt the head so the affected ear is facing upward and apply 1-2 drops of EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver using a dropper applicator. Leave for at least 60 seconds, then tilt the head down and drain the residue onto a clean cosmetic tissue and discard. Repeat procedure to a maximum of 3 times a day.
Important information – Do not apply any liquids of any kind to the inner ear if the eardrum has, or is suspected to have suffered a perforated eardrum. If you have suffered or have concerns of a perforated eardrum, please consult your general medical practitioner.
Colloidal silver has been used to successfully treat common nasal conditions due to its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory qualities.
Typical usage:
- Tilt the head upward and apply spray 1-2 applications of EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver using a vertical atomising spray applicator. Leave for at least 60 seconds, then tilt the head down and drain the residue onto a clean cosmetic tissue and discard. Repeat procedure to a maximum of 3 times a day.
Colloidal silver has been used to successfully treat common oral, gum, tongue and mouth conditions due to its antibacterial, anti-fungal, antiviral and anti-inflammatory qualities.
Typical usage:
- For common oral conditions and irritations, use 15-30ml of EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver as a mouthwash rinse and additionally gargle for at least 60 seconds, then expel from the mouth after use. Alternatively, apply 2-5 squirts of EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver into the mouth and throat using an atomising spray applicator. Repeat procedure to a maximum of 3 times a day.
- For localised conditions on the inner and outer lips, gums, inner cheek membrane, tongue or inner mouth chamber, apply EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver directly to the affected area using a cotton ear bud or atomising spray applicator. Repeat procedure to a maximum of 3 times a day.
Colloidal silver has been used to successfully treat common sinus conditions due to its antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal and anti-inflammatory qualities.
Typical usage:
- For common conditions, apply using 1-2 squirts of EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver in each nostril using a vertical atomising spray applicator. Repeat procedure to a maximum of 3 times a day.
- For more advanced conditions, apply using 20 drops (¼ teaspoon) of EMIAS Therapeutics Colloidal Silver diluted in ½ cup of clean, lukewarm medical grade steam-distilled water in a nasal irrigator. Repeat procedure to a maximum of 2 times a day.
Important information – Do not use higher than 10 PPM Colloidal Silver when administering via a nebuliser.
